Toolmaker Microscopes
Toolmaker microscopes are used for many purposes. The are used by machinists to verify measurements. They are used for quality control departments to verify that parts have been manufactured to the correct specifications. They can inspect internally manufactured parts or parts that are purchased and brought into incoming inspection. It is also common to use visual inspection devices like this to to verify injection molding tooling. Basically toolmaker microscopes covers an entire category for machinists, quality control inspectors, manufacturing and more. The microscopes used for these operations are widely varied and usually quite expensive. But optical precision just doesn't come cheap. Good toolmakers and machinists can ensure proper squareness and size of parts but your can verify them on this category of toolmaker microscopes.
Here at Toolmaker Scopes we carry a wide range of this equipment. You can find the perfect scope to measure hole diameters, measure linear distances, wear on tooling surfaces, tool edges, thread pitch and dimensions smaller than you can ordinarily measure with vernier calipers or even micrometers.

Keep in mind that there are 3 types of microscope viewing styles
The styles are:
- Monocular
- Binocular
- Trinocular
The Monocular have a single viewing tube. The Binocular then has two viewports and works extremely well because humans have...well...two eyes. The trinocular port is for video or camera to for microphotography.
You can find all these styles of toolmaker microscopes here as well as optical comparators. Some replacement and optional parts can be found as well such as eyepieces and lights.
